Commonly known as ‘the garden of Skye’, Sleat is Skye’s softer, greener peninsula with lush vegetation reaching down to rocky shorelines and sandy beaches. For music and arts lovers we have frequent concerts, many organised by SEALL our local events provider, with world class musicians and performers, many of whom teach on the easter and summer Short Courses at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Scotland’s National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture.

There are many artists and makers resident in Sleat who have studios and galleries to visit alongside exhibitions held at An Talla Dearg in Isle Ornsay. And while you’re there, why not sample the Gaelic whiskies and gins. You can also shop for stunning clothes, accessories and gifts in unique and surprising locations dotted throughout the peninsula.
