Explore magnificent gardens set around the romantic ruins of Armadale Castle, and immerse yourself in Highland history in the Museum of the Isles. Rain or shine, there’s something for everyone at this Visit Scotland 5 Star attraction.
Armadale Castle is the former seat of the MacDonalds of Sleat and is now cared for by a charitable trust. There are 40 acres of woodland garden to enjoy, with exotic shrubs, veteran trees and panoramic views. In the museum you can discover the epic story of Clan Donald, Scotland’s largest and most powerful clan, and get close to Viking, Jacobite and crofting artefacts. Families are well catered for too, with an adventure playpark and museum trails and activities.
Also check out the regular events programme, gift shop and our café in the restored Stables building.
